When faith shifts, so much else can shift with it.
“The threads of your unravelled life can become the yarn from which a new tapestry is gently woven."
- It's Complicated Counselling
Not everything that changes can be explained easily.
There are seasons where something begins to shift internally.
Beliefs that once felt certain may feel less steady.
Questions may arise where there were once clear answers.
Or something deeper may be unfolding that is difficult to name.
This is not always a loud process.
Often, it is quiet. Personal. Gradual.
Some of the things that are
hard to put into words...
-
questioning beliefs you once held with certainty
-
feeling tension between what you were taught and what you’re experiencing now
-
carrying both longing and doubt at the same time
-
feeling unsure where you belong spiritually or relationally
-
missing the sense of clarity or structure you once had
-
feeling hesitant to speak openly about what’s changing
-
wondering who you are as your beliefs shift
There can be both loss and discovery here.
Sometimes at the same time.
When identity begins to shift
For many, faith is not only about belief—it is woven into identity, relationships, community, and meaning.
So when something shifts in one area, it can ripple outward.
-
how you see yourself
-
how you relate to others
-
how you make sense of your life
-
what feels true or grounding now
This can feel disorienting.
And also, at times, quietly clarifying.
